Precious Plastics Recycling Camp

Students (12 to 15 years old) will use different precious plastic tools to create a variety of recycled plastic projects. Students will learn how to use the grinder, extruder, and panini press to learn different ways to use recycled materials. They will create charms, pots, and plastic flowers. This is a great opportunity for students who are excited to learn more about sustainable art

-Bring a water bottle. Snacks will be available for purchase. Students need to wear closed toed shoes to camp. Long hair should be tied back for safety.

-Parents are invited to stay and participate or drop-off. 

Thanks to Funding from the City of Las Cruces and the American Rescue Plan Act we are able to offer these camps free of cost to all Title One students who attend schools in Las Cruces. These schools include all of the Las Cruces Public Schools, White Sands Schools, Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy, Arrowhead Park, Alma d'Arte, J Paul Taylor Academy, La Academia Dolores Huerta, Los Montanas, New America, Raices Del Saber.
