Use this once a month opportunity to bond and build, come make more than just memories. This is a wonderful opportunity to have all the fun of a creative project without the clean up!
Activities for each family night are arranged around a theme with projects intended for the kindergartner up through adults. Younger participants are welcome, they will just need more support and supervision from their adults. Older siblings, aunties and uncles are also welcome. So is that best-friend-neighbor cousin.

August’s theme is Book-ish. Borrowing on ideas from scrapbooking, junk journaling, smash books, altered books, and book binding, we will set up an array of tools and supplies for you to use with this make-and-take activity.
There will be embossing machines, ink stamps, washi tape, and even sewing machines to use on your paper folio. Learn how to make art prints with Lego dots. Spend some time making your own copper wire bookmarks, get a photo taken with your peeps and print it on sticker paper. Do some ‘found poetry’ work, and make use of the Cricut machine to cut a personalized envelope with a gift tag.
We will even have the library here with books you can check out on site.
All activities are “work at your own pace”. You can spend as little or as much time as you’d like. Feeling like you want to make ‘real art’, go ahead. Want to just dabble, feel free! There’s no wrong way.
There is no online registration for this event. The event is intended for family groups who have students attending Las Cruces Title 1 schools. We will have sign in sheets at the front asking for student names, which school they attend, and their ID numbers.
