Intended for beginning sewists, there are no prerequisite skills required.

Come join us during this spooky season to use the sewing machine and make your own little cuddly spider bug.  This stuffie even has secret pockets where you can hide a note, or a special sweet treat!

Skills learned in this class include:

• How the thread and operate a sewing machine
• How to backstitch
• Sewing a consistent seam allowance
• Sewing on buttons
• Clipping curves
• Hand sewing stuffie closed

All materials are provided.  

Students should wear closed toe shoes in class.

Thanks to Funding from the City of Las Cruces and the American Rescue Plan Act we are able to offer this class free of cost to all Title One students who attend schools in Las Cruces, otherwise it would cost $49.00. 

Title One schools include all of the Las Cruces Public Schools, White Sands Schools, Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy, Arrowhead Park, Alma d'Arte, J Paul Taylor Academy, La Academia Dolores Huerta, Los Montanas, New America, Raíces Del Saber.
