*Please note, this camp is free for students attending a Title one school. Title one schools include ALL Las Cruces Public Schools, plus a few charter schools. If you have questions about if your school is included in Title one, see more information at the end of this post.
Come learn how to make paper and clay take flight, go for a swim or have a nice walk. Using basic mechanical structures, students will build a series of automata (small sculptures that move).
Students will have room to explore their own creativity in designing and developing their figure/animal sculptures. And will be led through how to develop their mechanical components.

-Bring a water bottle. Snacks will be available for purchase.
-Please wear close toed shoes.
-Long hair should be tied back for safety.
-Parents are invited to stay and participate or drop-off.

Thanks to Funding from the City of Las Cruces and the American Rescue Plan Act we are able to offer these camps free of cost to all Title One students who attend schools in Las Cruces. These schools include all of the Las Cruces Public Schools, White Sands Schools, Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy, Arrowhead Park, Alma d'Arte, J Paul Taylor Academy, La Academia Dolores Huerta, Los Montanas, New America, Raices Del Saber.
