Join us for a free hands-on day learning how big sacaton, a deep-rooted native grass, can protect soil, improve water infiltration, and boost soil biology. NM Healthy Soil Working Group is partnering with Synergia Ranch on this project, using big sacaton windbreaks to prevent erosion, trap dust, and create a better environment for beneficial soil microbes. At this field day, we will measure plant growth, inoculate the sacaton to further support soil health, and discuss how this work fits into larger strategies for building a more resilient landscape.
